The Members Network social media platform is a place where members should feel empowered to communicate and share knowledge and information with peers. We take our role seriously in keeping the social media platform a safe place for all members to participate in conversation. That is why we have developed standards of what is, and is not, allowed to be published on the platform.
BUSY At Work uses the Members Network to publish information and news about early childhood education in Victoria.
We encourage interaction from users on our Members Network social media platform. Please ensure all discussions and posts relate to the Early Childhood sector, as the intention is for all content on the platform to be relevant and professional.
When engaging with peers through the social media platform, you must abide by the Rules of Engagement, as indicated below.
To protect the privacy of children, please do not publish photos or videos of children or identify them in your comments. Children’s names/photos in any programming documentation uploaded to the platform must be de-identified. Violating this policy for a second time after receiving an initial warning will result in the instant cancelation of membership.
While we encourage interactions, all engagement on our channels must be made in a respectful, civil manner and refrain from discrimination, harassment, and inappropriate behaviour.
Such conduct may include:
We reserve the right to edit or delete any content (including but not limited to comments, images, videos) deemed to be offensive, discriminatory, profane, indecent, slanderous, obscene, soliciting, threatening or illegal and flag any users who post such content. This also includes commercial content and unsolicited advertising.
Please do not post material that could be considered an infringement on the rights of others. Remember that these are public forums and whatever information you share will be viewed by others.
Users who fail to adhere to these expectations will receive a warning on a first breach. Users that violate these Rules of Engagement a second time will have their membership cancelled.
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards comments, posts or replies that:
Serious offences (comments with hate speech and posting inappropriate photos) will also be escalated and reported to the relevant authorities.
Users who breach their scholarship and/or incentive Agreement with the Department of Education and Training will have their membership cancelled. Incentive recipients who elect to withdraw early from their employment obligations will also have their membership cancelled.
The social media platform is moderated to ensure that a safe, inclusive and collaborative environment is available to all members.
If you have any queries about these Rules of Engagement or moderation, or wish to report interactions that breach these Rules of Engagement, please contact membersnetwork@busyatwork.com.au
